Vitamin D for kids - boost your child's immune system

"Our kids are just as susceptible to colds and flus as we are.  So parents...let's boost their winter time immune system.

One of the easiest and best immune system modulators is Vitamin D.  No surprise right?  We all are deficient in Vit D here in the Northwest and who better to give it to than our kids who are exposed to a lot of germs at school.

For children 40 pounds to 90 pounds you can safely give 2000 IU a day of Vit D3.  For kids over 90 pounds 4000-5000 IU can safely be given.

A lot of supplement stores are selling Vitamin D in drops and capsules or gel caps that are easy to swallow.  This nutrient will not only boost their immune system but will also help with allergies; increase their bone density as they grow; protect against many types of cancers; and is a great anti-inflammatory.

So get your kids some Vitamin D this winter...and all year round for that matter...and put yourself on some too!!"
