Halloween Sweets -- Tricked by the Treats

"Tonight when your trick or treaters come home with all their candy, remember that all that sugar they will be eating will actually lower their immune system and increase their risk of getting sick.  Research shows that the activity of a person's white blood cells goes down significantly for 4+ hours after eating only a modest amount of sugar. 

Remember too that it's tempting for us to eat some candy also.  Be aware though...sugar affects your body a little differently than your children.  We become more intolerant of sugar as we get older, so we tend to store sugar as fat.

So.....BEWARE...Don't be tricked!!"
