"Are you sensitive to gluten? A lot of people actually are sensitive to gluten and don't realize it.
Gluten sensitivity or allergy can produce a whole host of symptoms. I wont list them all here but the most common are digestive problems, fatigue, arthritis, vitamin deficiencies, and skin
problems.
Gluten is found in wheat, oats, rye and barley and all wheat derivative grains. Gluten is used as a thickener and stabilizer in breads and other
baking products.
In people that are gluten sensitive or allergic, the body will see gluten as foreign and attack the villi in the intestines that
are responsible for absorbing gluten and other vitamins and nutrients. When the villi become damaged they can no longer absorb properly.
They shorten and eventually stop absorbing and will cause a lot of digestive problems. This is called Celiac disease.
There are blood tests and saliva tests that can check to see if you are gluten sensitive. If you suspect that you are
sensitive to gluten you may want to get checked. Your body will thank you."
