Circulation  - herbs and vitamins to help improve the circulation of blood in your body

"Do you have problems with your blood circulation?  Cold hands and feet?  There are some great herbs and vitamins that can help improve your circulation.

In general, when you increase your circulation you also increase the nutrients to that part of the body and therefore keep that area more healthy.  That includes your brain!!  Hands and feet are where we often notice the coldness or changes in circulation but it can occur in your brain too.

Gingko helps increase circulation to the brain and periphery of our body.  When you increase circulation to the brain you help improve memory and other cognitive functions.  It can also help some men with erections due to increased blood flow.

Cayenne pepper is also great for circulation.  Some people add it to the water they drink to help increase their circulation.  Just a pinch is all you need.

Niacin, not niacinamide, will increase the microcirculation in your body if you take it at a high enough dose...such that you get a niacin flush. A niacin flush is when, after you take niacin, you get a redness of the skin that lasts for about an hour or two and makes you feel and look like you have a sunburn. This process also helps to lower cholesterol in the liver. Some people use high dose niacin for cholesterol lowering effects.

These three nutrients are some basic things to help your circulation."
