Zinc - Why it is essential for good health?  Do you get enough?

"Zinc has many different functions in the body and low levels of zinc can cause many different problems. Some problems related to zinc deficiency include:

� PMS
� excema
� low immune system function
� memory problems

Zinc is also considered an anti-oxidant as is Vitamin C, selenium, Vitamin E and Co-Q10. 

Because it has such a wide and varied effect on our overall health, you need to make sure that you are getting a sufficient daily dose of Zinc.  A dose of 30mg per day is considered safe.  Foods high in Zinc include Oysters, whole grains, nuts and seeds."
