Digestion  -- good digestion is essential for good health

How well do you take care of your immune system?  Did you know that 70% or more of your immune system is in your intestines?  

If you have bad digestion, chronic constipation, diarrhea or malabsorption then you are not digesting well and you probably have a compromised immune system.  This does not mean that you will always be sick but it could represent, on a deeper level, that you are at risk for developing cancer or having chronic inflammation.

When I work with patients I always check their inflammatory markers and ask about digestion.  Ideally we should have 1-2 formed bowel movements a day.  We shouldn�t have a lot of gas, bloating or belching.  This has become so common place that we don�t think of these symptoms as being a problem.

If you fix your digestive problems you will live a longer life.
