Soy -- benefits of soy

Since next week I am doing a show on Women�s cancers, I thought I would mention a food that has been shown to help with cancer, bone health, cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis.

What could this food be?

SOY!!!

Soy has gotten a lot of bad rap for causing problems with hormones but quite the contrary it can be very helpful in balancing hormones.

Benefits of soy:
> Free radical scavenger- gets rid of free radicals in the body that damage cells.
> Helps balance estrogen
> Inhibits enzymes that reduce tumor formation
> Helps promote breast health by balancing estrogen receptors in breast.
> Enhances bone density
> Decreases serum concentrations of total cholesterol.
