Anti-Inflammatory Herbs - natural anti-inflammatory herbs to use in your diet

Turmeric, Quercetin and Bromelain are all great natural anti-inflammatory herbs to use in your diet.

Turmeric is the main ingredient in curry and is what gives curry its color.  It's also called Curcumin and is a member of the ginger family.  It's a powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant and anti-cancer agent.  It can be taken in pill form or powder form and, of course, used in cooking.

Quercetin is a flavonoid and is found in citrus fruit, buckwheat and onion.  It too has anti-inflammatory properties and also strong anti-allergy properties.  It decreases histamine levels in the body which is beneficial because histamine can increase allergic reactions.  Quercetin can also be taken in pill or powder form.

 Bromelain is an enzyme found in pineapples.  It is good for digestion and has good anti-inflammatory properties.  Bromelain is usually in pill form or you can eat some pineapple!!

So if you are having some inflammation or allergies try some of these herbs to soothe your symptoms.
