Kate is a licensed acupuncturist with over 15 years of experience and
advanced training in orthopedic and sports acupuncture. She uses
gentle and effective techniques that help boost each person's ability
to heal. She also has over 10 years of experience practicing
craniosacral therapy.
Acupuncture is effective for pain relief
and injury repair, and can also support you at a root level to help
you feel better overall (calmer, more energetic, and like everything's
in sync). Asian medicine is a pattern-based medicine that is
individually tailored by reading your body. Kate's advanced palpation
skills and intuition guide her treatments. She also uses a variety of
add-on techniques that include electrical stimulation, cupping,
guasha, moxibustion, acupressure, tuning forks and massage. Kate
earned her Master of Acupuncture from NIAOM in Seattle in 2003.
Kate's craniosacral treatments are helpful for healing from car
accident injuries and other physical trauma as well as head, neck and
back pain. She uses light touch to encourage your body to find its
own path back to an aligned, strong and supple musculo-skeletal
system. Because it works directly with the brain and spinal cord,
craniosacral can help you settle into very deep relaxation. She uses
Biodynamic craniosacral, which involves handholds throughout your
body, not just your head. Kate earned her massage certificate in 2001
and completed craniosacral training in 2008.
Kate grew up in
Boulder, CO, earned BAs in biology and art from Oberlin College and
has lived in Seattle since moving here for acupuncture school in
2000.
Kate is contracted with several major insurance
